It was only a couple of months ago when Microsoft Corp. released the Windows 10, but it did not take long to achieve a major milestone for them. On the start of the 2016, Microsoft has announced that more than 200 million active devices are running the Windows 10 at the present.

Windows 8 was not a successful release by the Microsoft. So many people doubted that Windows 10 might have the same problems but Windows 10 became fastest OS to reach this milestone in Microsoft history. It has outpaced the Windows 7 by about 140% and Windows 10 by about 400%. No doubt that the newly introduced features like Cortana, Microsoft Hello, Microsoft Edge are behind this success.

• Over 82 billion photos viewed within the Windows 10 Photo app.
• Gaming continues to grow on Windows 10-in 2015, gamers spent over 4 billion hours playing PC games on Windows 10. Gamers have streamed more than 6.6 million hours of Xbox One games to Windows 10 PCs.

Microsoft has offered the free upgrade for the first year, for users with Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 and the further updates in Windows 10 after you install it are free for the life of the device.
