FIFA Ranking: Nepal ranked lowest in South Asia
FIFA has published the latest national team rankings and it is not so surprising that Nepal has the lowest ranking in the SAFF. Nepal stands lowest at 196th. It is the lowest ranking in the history of Nepal. In 2015, Nepal was ranked 192.
The Nepalese National Women's team is ranked at 114th.
Despite winning the recent SAFF championship, India stands at second in SAFF. India has managed to climb up three places to 163. Maldives stands at top in 157th.
Belgium stands at the top of the FIFA rankings followed by Argentina at the second place. The top ten of FIFA's rankings released on Thursday remains unchanged since it was last updated December 3 because of the lack of international matches.
